Brand identity for the Mickalene Thomas: All About Love exhibition at the Barnes. Inspired by the 1970s references often present in Mickalene Thomas’s work, this exhibition identity pairs stretched typography derived from an extended typeface with cropped details of the artist’s paintings. Fragments of pattern, texture, and color become graphic elements within the system, creating a bold visual language that nods to the era while foregrounding the richness of Thomas’s work.
